What do we need sponsorship funds for?

The go-kart sport involves a number of costs during a season, especially if you want to perform at a high level during races.

During a season, we have a great need for engine overhaul, new tyres, replacement of wear parts, petrol, fees for races/training and much more.

It is also a dream to have enough sponsors to train/race internationally (Italy, Spain, Poland, etc.), where we can get expert guidance through a team.

Thus, all amounts, both small and large, are greatly appreciated by the team!

History/Background

A family team with 110% passion for what they do.

Adrian was born on 26/07/2013 (age 10) and has lived in Bodø until 10/12/2021.

It turned out early on that Adrian was above-average fond of speed. As a 5-year-old, he got to try sitting in a go-kart, and it turned out that Adrian had talent. Not just for speed, but to naturally see lines like few others at his young age did.

Adrian got his license for go-karts the year he turned 6. He had to pass a licensing course with theory, a written test, and a practical test to get the certificate. Due to the corona outbreak in 2020, the competition for Adrian was moved to 2021.

In the summer of 2021, Adrian took part in a competition and championship for the first time: the Norrland Cup in Sweden. He was the youngest in his class, competing against boys several years older than him. The average number of participants in the various races was 21-26. Adrian took part in 6 races at the cup and came in the positions: P8, P11, P10, P7, P9, and P6. This means that Adrian placed in the top 10 in almost all the races in Sweden, on tracks he had never raced on before, with participants he did not know or had raced against. A great achievement was noticed when the other participants were Swedish and had the tracks as their hometrack. Overall in the cup, Adrian got a P9 and came in the top ten, even though he had two fewer races than all the others who participated from Sweden.

We covered 500 miles in total, and spent almost 2 months straight in the motorhome so that he could compete. We found out together that Adrian's talent deserved to be allowed to drive, and to continue with go-karting at a better level.

In the summer of 2021, we traveled down to the south/east of Norway. Here we visited 6 different racetracks, which Adrian got to choose from. He chose KNA Varna as his new home ground. Soon after, we found a new home and a school district for Adrian. Adrian test drove in Varna, and he was quickly noticed there too. Although we are new to the environment in Eastern Norway, we already have a good network around us, and many look forward to following Adrian in the step from training on a small track in Northern Norway with 3 other drivers to up to 30 other drivers here at Varna.

Adrian may have talent, but now he faces major challenges with several drivers who are used to having a season 10 out of 12 months a year, while Adrian from the north has only had 3-5 months a year.
Adrian has been active in strength training since he was small, swimming and driving a go-kart simulator during the offseason and as a training supplement on normal days. He has grand ambitions for himself, and to be able to keep up with his development, we as a family and team depend on several people on our team.
